WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The purpose of the Java Developer is to undertake development duties under the framework of our processes and methodology.

To complete software deliverables in accordance with Agile sprint cycles and business imperatives in respect of scope, cost, quality and time objectives.

Important to this role is the desire to learn new technologies in order to be able to be creative and strategic and identify opportunities to change and challenge the status quo.

 

KEY TASKS

During Development

  • To understand story requirements and identify optimum development approach
  • To participate in code reviews
  • To liaise and communicate with the colleagues representing associated partner teams
  • To actively seek to broaden own technical knowledge in partner domains; also to share knowledge with other team members
  • Engage early in the project process in order to help ensure on time quality delivery
  • Highlight and escalate potential risks and issues observed during development

Operational Support

  • Engage support team to ensure common understanding of impact of issues that may appear in production.
  • Review bugs that come through triage; participate in root cause analysis review and, if necessary, fix the bugs.

Process and Standards

  • To actively contribute to the CI deployment process
  • To identify and contribute to the definition of improvement to processes and methodology

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You’ll join the Greenlight DevOps Team, on our flagship commerce product. You’ll be working in an Agile environment using open source tools and technologies to maintain and enhance our computer systems in relation to development, testing, production and support.

 

KEY TASKS

  • Analyse & propose changes to improve security, reliability, performance.
  • Participate in the evolution & adaption of our IT infrastructure.
  • Highlight problems and propose solutions.
  • Contribute towards compliance with PCI-DSS security standards.
  • Be very familiar with open source tools and technologies.
  • Be actively interested in DevOps & agile development requirements.
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to develop and execute exploratory tests as well as automated tests in order to ensure product quality.

As a QA Engineer you will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system.

Candidates must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage and complete multiple tasks quickly within the constraints of agreed timelines and budget.

 

KEY TASKS

  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

  • At least 3 years commercial experience in the Software Testing domain with strong understanding of the tools, techniques and process involved
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Proven working experience in software development
  • Proven working experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

  • Experience of working with Global/European clients is desirable
